How do photochromic lenses work?
Designed as lenses that turn dark like sunglasses in the presence of ultraviolet sunlight, photochromic lenses change back to clear when the sun goes down or when you walk indoors.
In particular, photochromic lenses protect your eyes from the harmful damage that can occur from prolonged exposure to ultraviolet and harmful blue light.
For example, this is a pair of glasses with photochromic lenses (see video above). Can you see how they get dark with exposure to UV light? What an amazing way to have clear, comfortable vision indoors and outdoors!
